For the most part I didn't get much out of the video, but the GM used a computer program as a virtual GM screen.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ENow that piece of software was designed for novel writing and it wasn't free, but I was able to find a free alternative that did the same stuff.....providing you use Windows. There are other similar-ish programs that'll work with Mac\/iOS, but \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-edit.com\/Home\/Download\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ESmartEdit Writer\u003C\/a\u003E did everything I was looking for.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI'm not sure I would actually use\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-edit.com\/Home\/Download\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ESmartEdit Writer\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;to write an \u003Ci\u003Eactual\u003C\/i\u003E adventure, but I'm really biased for reasons, and think the idea of character development that this program could lead to would be lost on an adventure.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe reason why I recommend\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-edit.com\/Home\/Download\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ESmartEdit Writer\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;for a virtual GM screen is because you can use the basic organization the program provides to layout your assorted graphs, tables, charts, and assorted bits of information. Currently there are also twenty seamonsters and fifty-two \"Greenskins\". Things kind of broke for me when I sped time up to something like 10K years per second.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EStill, being able to toggle \"view crust density\" and \"view height map\" worked well for me. If I did something I didn't like it wasn't a big deal just refreshing the page to get a new map. Not enough detail for me to use as a game world in my campaign, but I could really see using this to generate the view of a moon.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EStill, what I'd use and how has no real importance beyond my table. I probably spent more than I should have on minis, a Deadpool Expansion for Marvel Munchkin, and a d60....not sure if I already had a d60 or not, but what the hell.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ENot everyone has, or even needs, physical minis. I do have a bunch of digital tokens for when I play online (\u003Ci\u003Ethey come in handy on some PC\/NPC sheets too\u003C\/i\u003E), but I really don't have a lot of extra time to waste making tokens......probably because I'd use the tools I already have on my computer, like Photoshop or GIMP.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EInstead I can use \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/rolladvantage.com\/tokenstamp\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EToken Stamp 2\u003C\/a\u003E to easily put together new tokens. Drop in an image, tweak a few settings, maybe add some text....and done. You can easily make not just one token, but a few variations of that token with overlays (\u003Ci\u003E...maybe status indicators?\u003C\/i\u003E).
