d30 Challenge Day 11

d30 Challenge Day 11
This is my 11th entry in the d30 Challenge, which is a bastardization of an idea I first saw on Mark "CMG" Clover's feed. Now I'm a sucker for these things and I know some folks aren't so while I'm committed to answering one question about my favorite hobby each day, and putting together a d30 table before the end of the month, I know not everyone is so interested. I'll put the question & answer after the break, posting late in the day, and not promoting this on G+ so those who don't like this kind of thing should be exposed only minimally.

I think this is the best I can do....

Origins 2015 Convention Report, Part 2 (The Looting!)

Origins 2015 Convention Report, Part 2 (The Looting!)
I like to think that most people don't really care too much about convention reports because they's rather have just gone there instead. Not a lot of fun to hear about your friend's fun at an event you couldn't go to.

If you fall into that category, then don't read the part 1, which I won't link to because that would be rude.

What I do think most people like, largely because I get this question from everyone (even on-gamers) is: "What did you get?" which usually just outpaces "What did you get me?" Obviously I need to stop bringing back home loot for friends & family.

Origins 2015 Convention Report, Part 1

Origins 2015 Convention Report, Part 1
This year's trip to Columbus for the 2015 Origins Game Fair was fun & quite a bit tiring. I've lost count how many times the Mrs. & I have gone, but this is probably the 4th time we've gone with my gaming group and probably the 2nd time we've split a hotel room.

Normally I'm not that big of a sharer, but since I'm the only guy in my group and we're all good friends, there really isn't a downside in sharing a room. We've done this trip enough we have it down almost to a science.

We fly in on Tuesday on the earliest flight possible and back out on the following Monday. We stay at a nearby Marriott property and get a good room. Meals are usually at the North Market, but we have three specific restaurant stops during the trip and we space them out to flow around the convention surges to our advantage.

Free GM Resource: Dungeon of Signs Blog

I wish I could tell you how I happened upon the Dungeon of Signs blog, but I can't. Usually I arrive and a new destination on the interwebs through a long series of link-jumping, but this time....I don't know. I can say I found it this time....most likely a second time...due to Google Chrome screwing something up.

Out of the blue my computer's bookmarks merged with an older set of saved bookmarks and *poof* my desired layout of links is gone and I have some bookmarks I didn't remember having before.

The general annoyance of having to reorganize my browser bar to my liking is greatly tempered by some lost treasures, like Dungeon of Signs.

There is a lot of good, dare I say great, content on this site. I'd like to draw particular attention to the "PDFs to Download Page". Lots of adventures to see there, all linked to the author's Google Drive.

I recommend checking out the download page 1st, and then branching out from there. I have noticed that not all of his downloadable content is on that one page, so there might be some real juicy bits to find in a nice little "treasure hunt".
